HDL WORKS INTRODUCES EASE™ 7.0

EASE presents a new look and improves designers efficiency.

December 2006, HDL Works announces the release of version 7.0 of EASE, the graphical HDL design entry environment. EASE is known for its ease-of-use and fast editing capabilities for any VHDL, Verilog or mixed language ASIC or FPGA design. Synthesis and simulation tool interfaces are built-in, optimizing the users edit-compile-debug cycle.

What's new in EASE 7.0

Next to many smaller improvements in performance and ease-of-use, EASE has received a new main window, where browsers, editors and feedback panels are integrated in a single frame. Major new features are focused on Testbench skeleton generator, Linting, Truth Table editor and several feedback panels.

The Testbench skeleton generator saves designers valuable time when defining a test environment for an entity or module. The Linter helps to identify potential design problems and optimize the design by locating unused signals and definitions.
The Truth Table editor provides designers a way to define decoders and other combinational or clocked logic in a spreadsheet like editor. The compact representation of the table gives designers a better overview and decreases the chance of syntax errors.
Smaller enhancements like cross referencing between the project browser and instances, the block diagram editor hierarchical propagation of signal changes improve designer productivity.

About EASE

EASE is the most intuitive Graphical HDL Design Entry tool in the industry. Providing the user with a better means of communication, documentation and design entry and modification for any HDL design targeted for FPGA or ASIC. It includes integration with industry standard revision control systems for real multi-user support.

Availability and Pricing

EASE 7.0 is now available. Prices begin at US$ 4,200 for a perpetual license. EASE can be downloaded for a free ten day evaluation from the company's web site: http://www.hdlworks.com.
