HDL Works was founded after a management buyout of Translogic in May 2004. It is privately owned by its founder and employees. HDL Works develops and markets high-performance, intuitive tools for complex HDL design across a wide spectrum of applications.

Its software products are available on the industry's most popular workstations and personal computer platforms. HDL Works currently holds EASE, HDL Companion, IO Checker and Scriptum in its product portfolio. HDL Works products are sold both direct and through an extensive worldwide distribution network. HDL Works is headquartered in Ede, The Netherlands.
